African Start-Up Award – Call For Applications Now Open

African Start-Up Award – Call For Applications Now Open. Deadline: June 15, 2015:
New York Forum Africa is pleased to announce the 1st edition of the African Start-Up Award!

Africa has an abundance of ideas and talent but African start-ups lack access to capital, especially in the first phase of development.  At last year’s New York Forum AFRICA, the results of the Train My Generation survey highlighted this challenge: 56% of young Africans pointed to their difficulty in finding funding.

In this context, Richard Attias, Founder of the New York Forum Institute and the NYFA, has created the African Start-up Award in partnership with Le Point Afrique and France24. The Award will support talent and the most creative initiatives, particularly those with a social impact component. Four laureates will be announced live at this year’s NYFA in Libreville, Gabon, August 28-30, and will share a 100,000 euros prize fund.

Don’t miss this opportunity! All entries should be submitted online by June 15, 2015.
