VACANCY: Position of a Training Officer


LAPO Institute for Microfinance and Enterprise Development
Position statement
LAPO Institute for Microfinance and Enterprise Development is a center for capacity building, advocacy and research in microfinance and enterprise development. It provides world class training services and technical assistance in core operational areas of microfinance management and enterprise life skills. The Institute requires the services of a training officer responsible for providing efficient coordination, delivery and assessment of trainees and employees undertaking relevant training programs.
Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate and facilitate training sessions as well as prepare report for every training conducted;
  2. Seek out external training opportunities for the Institute;
  3. Conduct surveys to identify training needs based on projection, change in processes and other factors;
  4. Assist in developing training manual, multimedia, visual and other educational materials;
  5. Evaluate the effectiveness of training and where necessary, modify materials and delivery style as appropriate;
  6. Any other duties assigned by Head, Training.
Qualification:
  1. BSc. in any of the Social Sciences. Professional training certificate would be an added advantage;
  2. Candidate must possess a minimum of three (3) years cognate experience in  training;
  3. Excellent communication skills;
  4. Confidence in delivering training content to clients;
  5. Highly organized with the ability to work on own initiative;
  6. Competent  IT skills including  Microsoft Office Packages;
  7. Not more than 35 years of age.
